purpose
Extended ministries provide a way for men or women to gather together and study God's Word as it applies to their unique needs. These groups help build closer Godly relationships as it relates to men or women, between husband and wife, as a mother or father, or other specialized circumstances. Extended ministries may or may not meet on a regular schedule, depending on the specific requirements of the individual ministry.
berean men of faith
Building strong Spiritual leaders who are men of integrity is what this ministry is all about. These men have made a commitment to become strong men of prayer and to stay focused on God's purpose for their lives. Striving to become more like Christ, men pray together, study the word, and fellowship together; helping and encouraging each other to have stronger marriages, relationships with children, and other areas of their lives. This group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. in one of the upstairs classrooms.
berean women's ministry
Women pray together, study God's word and provide encouragement for each other. This time together allows women to help and encourage one another during difficult times or when you just need another Christian women to talk to. The women's ministry helps to build faithful women to have a rich prayer life and who are committed to studying God's word. Presently the women get together every Monday morning at Jennifer Agnews house, and they also meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. in one of the upstairs classrooms. Jennifer has setup her study where the women will have fellowship on one week and Bible study on the following week.
care ministry
Whether someone is ill, hasn't been at church for a while, or they've only recently visited our church, this ministry provides a way to reach out to them. As the Bible tells us, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. One way of expressing this love is by taking a little time out to visit with someone. A short visit can really cheer a person up, no matter what their circumstances are.
card ministry
This special Ministry allows you to touch people in a unique way. It involves writing a simple message to someone. Whether it is a get well wish, a note of sympathy, a Birthday wish, a thought of encouragement, or a card just to let someone know you care. This only takes a little of your time but the rewards go a long way. Berean supplies the cards; you only need to write the words.
