In common conversation though we refer to our Sunday night gathering as "Youth Group" ... how exciting. Our time together usually includes some interactive fun (games), singing praises to our Lord (in the company of the college aged folk), learning from God's Word, and a small group time; where guys and gals breakup into separate groups to discuss relevant issues and personal growth. This is the jumping-off point for mentoring relationships between young people and the youth leaders.

Berean's youth group hosts a mix of young people from public schools, home schools, and Christian schools. In all our young peoples' lives, we realize that youth group is one of many important influences. We encourage parents to assume the primary role in discipling, encouraging, and praying for their children.

Our young people are actively involved in ministry themselves. Some serve on Berean's worship team, others find their niche in helping out with AWANA, and all get involved in service projects, such as in the trip to the Union Rescue Mission in Norfolk, VA.
