HISTORY

How it all started...

Berean Baptist Church was founded in March 2017. Our first gatherings took place in various locations around King George County. By God’s grace, just a few years later, we moved into our permanent home—a church building in downtown King George on Luther Lane, near the Smoot Library.

Our pastor, a former BIMI missionary, has been used by God to plant churches both overseas and here in the United States.

The name Berean Baptist Church comes from Acts 17:11, which describes the believers in Berea:
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

Like the Bereans, we are committed to receiving God’s Word with open hearts and testing every teaching against Scripture.

Expanding the vision...

As Berean Baptist Church grows, so does our vision. Expanding means reaching more people with the Gospel and helping every believer grow deeper in God’s Word through a variety of ministries.

There’s a special unity and joy when Bereans come together with one purpose: searching the Scriptures daily, praying fervently, and serving faithfully. Whether teaching, outreach, or caring for one another, we’re committed to being a blessing to everyone God brings through our doors.
